A Family Dream
As many of you know, Dalen is a family business. Our family is literally embedded in the company name as an acronym for David, Alice, Laura, Ellen, and Neal.
When we sowed the first seeds of our business in 1975, we weren't sure how we would grow – or if we would even make it through the first season. Yet here we are, half a century later.
We are proud to say that for 50 years Dalen has had a hand in helping the North American gardener.
Renaissance
Like a garden, Dalen is in a state of constant renewal. Market changes can be slow or fast but how we respond can make all the difference.
While some of our products are perfect in their simplicity, we are driven to continually refine our work into innovative offshoots. Our owl, for example, began with a motionless fixed-head, which to this day is a flagship product for us. Since then we have introduced rotating-head and solar-powered variants. Now we're offering advanced models equipped with sensors and cameras.
